August 18, 2025 – Oracle has recently unveiled an expanded partnership with Google Cloud, enabling its customers to leverage Google’s cutting-edge AI models through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI Services. Initially, the collaboration will introduce access to Gemini 2.5, allowing Oracle clients to harness the latest Gemini iteration for building AI agents tailored to diverse use cases.
These include multimodal content comprehension, advanced software development and coding tasks, workflow automation across industries, and specialized research or knowledge retrieval applications. According to official announcements, Oracle aims to integrate Google’s entire Gemini model lineup—spanning video, image, voice, and music generation tools, alongside industry-specific solutions like MedLM—into OCI Generative AI Services via a new Vertex AI integration.
Looking ahead, the companies plan to embed Gemini models accessible through Vertex AI as an optional feature within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. This move seeks to empower users with enhanced workflows across finance, HR, supply chain, sales, services, and marketing domains. Oracle customers can initiate usage of Google’s Gemini models using existing Oracle Universal Credits, streamlining adoption without additional financial complexity.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, emphasized the partnership’s value: “Leading enterprises are already deploying Gemini to power AI agents across applications and sectors. By integrating our models into Oracle’s ecosystem, developers gain seamless access to robust AI tools, accelerating deployments while simplifying data integration challenges.”
