CDPR’s Stellar H1: $121M Revenue, 35% Profit, and Full – Steam Ahead on “The Witcher 4”

August 29, 2025 – Polish gaming giant CD Projekt has just unveiled its latest financial report, revealing a remarkable performance in the first half of the year. The company raked in $121 million in revenue, boasting an impressive 35% profit margin.

The lion’s share of this success can be attributed to the continued popularity of “Cyberpunk 2077.” This game generated approximately $93 million in revenue. A particularly noteworthy aspect is the outstanding sales of the physical version on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform, which accounted for a staggering 75% of the game’s sales on that console.

Looking ahead, CD Projekt has exciting developments in its pipeline. The highly – anticipated “The Witcher 4,” internally codenamed Polaris, has entered full – scale development. The company has expanded its in – house development team, increasing the number from 750 to 799. Among them, 444 developers are now fully dedicated to the creation of “The Witcher 4.”

On the other hand, the sequel to “Cyberpunk 2077,” codenamed Orion, is still in the early production phase. However, this quarter saw the addition of 20 new specialized developers to the project, indicating that progress is being made. Other research and development projects have also seen a slight expansion. Moreover, the “shared services team,” which is responsible for optimizing the Unreal Engine 5 and developing cross – project tools, has welcomed 18 new members.

Despite these positive developments, CD Projekt’s own platform, GOG, is still struggling to turn a profit. In an effort to diversify its portfolio and tap into new markets, the company has announced a collaboration with the renowned Japanese animation studio Trigger. They are currently in the process of preparing for the release of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.” This move is expected to generate significant buzz and potentially boost the company’s overall performance in the coming years.
