The vehicle navigated the entire route without any human presence inside and without remote control, marking what he described as “true full self-driving capability.” “To the best of our knowledge, this is the world’s first instance of a car achieving autonomous driving on public highways without an onboard human or remote supervision,” he emphasized.
Earlier reports had hinted at Tesla’s quiet deployment of a new feature for its latest Model Y and Cybertruck models produced at the Austin, Texas, Gigafactory.
