April 17, 2025 – At the 2025 New York Auto Show, Subaru unveiled its latest electric SUV, the Trailseeker EV, equipped with a dual-motor system that delivers 375 horsepower. This model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating production Subaru ever.
The Trailseeker EV is designed for those seeking more space and power. It shares a design language and powertrain with the Solterra but stands approximately one inch taller and six inches longer.
Inside, the Trailseeker EV continues the legacy of the Solterra, featuring Subaru’s largest-ever 14-inch touchscreen and two wireless smartphone charging pads as standard.

Under the hood, the Trailseeker EV’s dual-motor setup provides a robust 375 horsepower, achieving 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds—a significant improvement over the previous WRX STI and the current WRX TR (which takes 5.6 seconds). This makes it the quickest Subaru in production.
Powered by a 74.7 kWh battery pack, the Trailseeker EV offers over 260 miles of range on a full charge and utilizes the NACS charging standard. With an 8.3-inch ground clearance, a 3,500-pound towing capacity, and X-Mode driving modes—including Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings, along with Grip Control and Hill Descent Control—the Trailseeker ensures safety in challenging conditions.
