Stellantis Halts T03 EV Production in Poland, Eyes New European Strategies

April 10, 2025 – Stellantis has reportedly halted the production of the Leapmotor T03 electric vehicles at its Tychy plant in Poland starting from March 30, 2025, as per a report by Reuters. The company is now exploring alternative production strategies for Leapmotor vehicles across Europe, though no specifics have been disclosed yet.

In a statement, Stellantis announced, “As of March 30, 2025, the assembly of the Leapmotor T03 model has ceased at our Tychy facility in Poland.” The company further added, “While we remain committed to the European launch of Leapmotor vehicles, we are currently evaluating various production alternatives.” However, Stellantis has not provided a clear rationale for the cessation of T03 production.

According to sources cited by Reuters, Stellantis currently has no plans to resume T03 production in Europe. Instead, the company and Leapmotor are shifting their focus towards the A-series models, which are expected to be manufactured outside of China beginning in 2026.

In 2024, Stellantis and Leapmotor made the decision not to produce the B10 electric crossover in Poland.

It’s worth noting that Stellantis holds a 51% stake in the Leapmotor International joint venture, granting it exclusive rights to export, sell, and manufacture Leapmotor electric vehicles outside of China.
