June 11, 2025 – A startup called Dacora Motors has emerged with a bold claim: it aims to rival the Cadillac Celestiq in the luxury electric vehicle segment and is touting its offering as “America’s first ultra-luxury car manufactured in nearly a century,” as reported by Carscoops today.
Dacora has collaborated with the renowned design house Pininfarina to craft the exterior of this new vehicle. The design draws inspiration from the streamlined modernism of the 1930s. While details are still emerging, the car features a handcrafted wooden hood paired with round headlights on either side.

The body design seamlessly blends retro and minimalist elements. It boasts wide wheel arches, sleek rims, and chrome accents that evoke a sense of nostalgia. From the side, the car showcases a distinctive window shape, a drooping rear line, and jet-inspired taillights. The vehicle also fully covers the rear wheels and has an SUV-like ground clearance of 191mm.
Inside, the cabin embraces minimalism, shunning plastic entirely in favor of wood, woven wool, and “non-toxic bio-leather.” Dacora has moved away from the current trend of “screen-centric” interiors. The instrument cluster can be concealed behind a semi-transparent wooden panel when not in use, while the infotainment interface is projected onto the wooden trim.

The interior layout is modular, allowing for seasonal material changes. Dacora plans to introduce two new designs annually, enabling customers to “refresh their car’s interior like a wardrobe,” switching from wool in winter to linen in summer, and offering limited-edition materials for personalized expression.
The car comes in three configurations. The 3-seat Executive version transforms the rear into a lounge and office space. The 4-seat Lounge version features individual front and rear seats with a custom center console. There’s also a dual-bench version that provides up to 1143mm of rear legroom.

The center console is a showcase of luxury, equipped with a built-in cigar humidor, a coffee machine, and even a live potted plant under a glass enclosure. Dacora also offers practical options like a biometric safe and a refrigerator.
Dacora promises that the vehicle will deliver over 800 horsepower (597 kW / 811 PS), with a range of approximately 644 km and a 0–96km/h acceleration time of just 4 seconds. A hybrid variant will also be available.

The car will be handcrafted at the 100-acre Hudson Valley Garage in New York’s Hudson River Valley. Starting at a price of 500,000,thevehicleisnowopenforreservationswithafullyrefundabledepositof50,000.
Dacora claims that reservations for the new car in its first year have already surpassed 150% of its planned production capacity, though the actual figures remain undisclosed.
