April 24, 2025 – Renowned tech leaker Sonny Dickson took to X yesterday, April 23rd, to unveil a set of dummy models representing the entire iPhone 17 lineup. The shared images showcased the devices in both black and white hues, offering a glimpse into three distinct design approaches.

The standard iPhone 17 is expected to maintain a design similar to its predecessor, the iPhone 16, featuring a pill-shaped camera bump housing two vertically aligned rear cameras. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Air adopts a “long runway” design with a single camera lens, while the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max showcase a “horizontal mega-matrix” camera layout. This expanded camera module accommodates three lenses, a flash, a LiDAR sensor, and a rear microphone.

Tech publication 9to5Mac has weighed in, suggesting these dummy models offer a highly accurate representation of the iPhone 17 series’ camera configurations, potentially being the closest approximation to the final product. Notably, earlier leaks indicated that the iPhone 17 Pro would feature an all-black camera bar; however, the latest dummy models suggest that the camera bar’s color will align with the device’s body, offering a more cohesive aesthetic.
