June 10, 2025 – On Monday, TikTok unveiled its plans to significantly ramp up its investment in the United Kingdom, with the creation of 500 new job positions. The UK stands as TikTok’s largest user base in Europe.
In a statement, TikTok mentioned, “This year, the total number of TikTok employees in the UK will surge to 3,000, thanks to the addition of over 500 new jobs.” Moreover, the company has intentions to establish a new office in London. This new office will be substantially larger than the current UK headquarters and is scheduled to open its doors next year. TikTok stated that this move would bring the total investment in its UK infrastructure to approximately £140 million.
TikTok boasts a massive user community in the UK. With more than 30 million monthly active users, it accounts for over half of the UK’s population, making it the platform’s “largest user base in Europe.” Adam Presser, TikTok’s UK Director and Global Head of Operations, Trust, and Safety, remarked, “We’re thrilled to enhance our investment and influence in the UK, whether it’s through direct investments in jobs and innovation or via the broad economic contributions made by millions of UK businesses on TikTok.”
Presser further added, “Our sustained growth is rooted in our unwavering commitment to safety. We’re dedicated to crafting an entertaining yet secure digital environment that can sustainably support creators, entrepreneurs, and the broader economic landscape. That’s why we’re making substantial investments in the safety sector.”
