March 30, 2026 – Peng Zhihui (Zhihui Jun), the co-founder, president, and CTO of Zhiyuan Robotics, made a groundbreaking announcement that the company’s 10,000th general-purpose embodied robot, the Expedition A3, rolled off the production line on the 28th.
Between January 6 and December 8, 2025, Zhiyuan Robotics achieved a remarkable feat by ramping up production from 1,000 to 5,000 units. And then, in a mere three-plus months from December 8, 2025, to March 28, 2026, the company made a historic leap, increasing production from 5,000 to 10,000 units.

This acceleration in production speed was more than four times faster than the previous phase, setting a new global record for the mass production speed of humanoid robots. In just 15 months, Zhiyuan Robotics managed to multiply its production scale tenfold.
Peng Zhihui emphasized that for humanoid robots, achieving large-scale production is one of the most challenging technological hurdles. “If 10,000 units mark the starting point of Zhiyuan Robotics’ scale-up, then our next goal is to truly deploy them on a massive scale and make them widely available,” he said.
He further added that the future vision for Zhiyuan Robotics is to enable robots to transition from industrial settings to commercial applications, and from single-scenario use to general-purpose intelligence. He envisions a future where Zhiyuan robots will become as ubiquitous as smartphones, serving as the most capable physical companions for humans in every aspect of life.
