In his post, Altman recommended the well – received sci – fi animation “Pantheon” among the tech community. This series has gained significant popularity as it delves into topics like artificial general intelligence. In the comment section, a user couldn’t help but ask, “Does GPT – 5 also recommend this show?” Altman quickly responded by posting a screenshot of a chat, simply saying, “The answer is yes!”
This marks one of the first public appearances of GPT – 5. Industry insiders generally anticipate that this new model will be far more powerful than its predecessors. It is expected to have a much larger context – handling capacity, be capable of performing more complex autonomous tasks, and support multi – modal input.
However, some familiar characteristics can still be spotted in the screenshot. For instance, ChatGPT’s fondness for dashes remains unchanged.
OpenAI is currently under immense pressure to roll out its new flagship model, facing fierce competition from rivals such as Google DeepMind, Meta, xAI, and Anthropic. These competitors are constantly pushing the boundaries and making significant progress in the AI field.
From the screenshot, it can be inferred that GPT – 5 has already developed the ability to efficiently integrate information from the Internet. In its response, it mentioned that “Pantheon” had received a “100% approval rating from critics” on Rotten Tomatoes and described the show as “profound, emotional, and philosophically charged.”
