June 12, 2025 – Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced at the VivaTech conference in Paris on Wednesday that the company will establish its first industrial-focused AI cloud platform in Germany, Reuters reported.
According to Huang, the platform will integrate AI and robotics technologies to help automotive giants like BMW and Mercedes-Benz streamline operations across the board—from product design simulations to logistics management.
In a nearly two-hour address, Huang unveiled a broader European expansion strategy. This includes expanding technology centers across seven European nations, opening Nvidia’s computational platforms to European enterprises, supporting developers of multilingual AI models, and accelerating drug discovery efforts for companies like Novo Nordisk.

Huang made a bold promise: “AI computing capacity in Europe will surge tenfold within the next two years. Europe has recognized the critical role of AI factories and supporting infrastructure.” Under this plan, Nvidia aims to construct 20 AI factories across the continent—large-scale facilities designed specifically for AI model development, training, and deployment.
Though Europe currently trails the U.S. and China in AI advancements, the European Commission announced a $20 billion investment in March to build four AI factories to bridge the gap.
Additionally, Nvidia plans to collaborate with European AI startup Mistral to create a high-powered AI computing platform for local businesses, leveraging 18,000 of Nvidia’s latest chips.
Huang has been actively traveling globally to emphasize the transformative power of AI for businesses—and the risks of falling behind. Earlier this week in London, he noted that the U.K. lacks the computational infrastructure needed to fully unlock its AI research potential.
Beyond AI, Huang highlighted that quantum computing is at a pivotal juncture, with the potential to solve complex problems that current AI systems might take years to address.
