April 11, 2026 – Baidu Intelligent Cloud’s Famous Agent 2.0 has achieved a remarkable feat by claiming the top spot on the prestigious Machine Learning Engineering Benchmark (MLE-Bench), setting a new record in the process.
MLE-Bench, established under the leadership of OpenAI, is a rigorous evaluation platform that presents 75 real-world engineering challenges sourced from Kaggle. These challenges are specifically designed to test an AI system’s practical capabilities across the entire machine learning workflow, including data preparation, model training, and experiment execution.

According to the latest results, under consistent evaluation criteria, Famous Agent 2.0 demonstrated exceptional performance in high-difficulty tasks, outscoring its peers that incorporate leading large language models such as Claude-Opus-4.6. This achievement can be attributed to several key innovations.
One of the standout features of Famous Agent 2.0 is its enhanced evolutionary strategy. This approach allows the AI to explore multiple paths simultaneously, enabling it to quickly adapt and correct course when faced with obstacles. Additionally, the introduction of a long-term memory mechanism ensures that the AI maintains logical coherence throughout complex, multi-step tasks, preventing it from veering off track.
Leveraging Baidu Intelligent Cloud’s comprehensive AI infrastructure stack, Famous Agent 2.0 also benefits from accelerated algorithm iteration. This means that users can interact with the system using natural language, eliminating the need for specialized technical knowledge while still obtaining enterprise-grade solutions.
The practical applications of Famous Agent 2.0 are already being felt across various industries. In the automotive sector, IAT Automobile has significantly reduced the time required for wind resistance verification from hours to mere minutes. In financial risk management, CITIC Baixin Bank has seen a 2.41% improvement in its model’s ability to distinguish between different levels of risk. Meanwhile, in traffic optimization, the city of Ejin Horo Banner in Ordos has experienced a more than 50% reduction in peak-hour travel times.
Since its launch, Famous Agent 2.0 has been adopted by thousands of enterprises spanning critical sectors such as retail, finance, manufacturing, energy, and transportation.
Looking ahead, Baidu Intelligent Cloud has announced that Famous Agent 2.0 will be officially unveiled at the Create2026 Baidu AI Developer Conference, scheduled to take place in Beijing, China, from May 13 to 14. This event promises to be a significant milestone in the evolution of AI technology, with Famous Agent 2.0 poised to set new standards for machine learning engineering.
