Apple Fortifies AI Foundation: Siri’s Terminal Experience Achieves Breakthrough, Bigger Upgrades on the Horizon

August 5, 2025 – On August 3, Bloomberg published an article revealing that during Apple’s recent all-hands meeting, which lasted over an hour, the company’s software chief, Craig Federighi, took the stage to share major updates about Siri.

The meeting saw several top Apple executives, including CEO Tim Cook, deliver speeches aimed at reassuring employees and boosting morale. Among the key announcements was the company’s latest achievements in the field of artificial intelligence.

During his presentation, Federighi stated, “We’ve made groundbreaking progress in enhancing Siri’s end-to-end capabilities. Not only will it be able to deliver the features we’ve already announced, but it’s also poised for even more significant upgrades than we initially anticipated—a development that consumers are eagerly awaiting.”

At last year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple introduced a more personalized version of Siri powered by AI enhancements. However, company executives admitted that the original development approach failed to meet the desired quality standards. As a result, Apple decided to pivot to a completely new architectural framework for Siri.

It’s worth noting that Federighi is now at the forefront of driving Siri’s evolution. There were rumors suggesting that these Siri improvements might arrive with iOS 26.4 in the spring of next year. But Apple has only committed to a 2026 release so far, indicating that the actual rollout could be delayed even further.
