April 16, 2025 – OpenAI has just unveiled a groundbreaking addition to its ChatGPT AI chatbot: the Image Library feature, now accessible for managing and reviewing AI-generated visuals.
This innovative enhancement is designed to streamline the user experience when handling images created by AI. The Image Library is now available to all users across Free, Plus, and Pro tiers, spanning both mobile and web platforms.

A demonstration video released by OpenAI showcases the functionality of the Image Library. Users can navigate to the “Library” section in the ChatGPT sidebar to access a grid-style interface displaying AI-generated images.
The video also highlights a convenient floating button at the bottom of the screen, allowing users to generate new images on the fly. While the feature is already live in the iOS version of ChatGPT, matching the video’s demonstration, the web version is still in the process of being fully rolled out but is expected to be available across all platforms shortly.
For users who frequently generate images, the Image Library is a highly practical tool. It enables easy revisiting of artistic creations, such as those in the Ghibli style, along with other personalized visual content.
