August 25, 2026 – Renowned tech reviewer Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) has released a hands-on video on YouTube showcasing TECNO’s next-generation bezelless concept smartphone. Claiming to be the world’s first device with a “true 0mm bezel,” the phone features a seamless “single piece of glass” design. While a silver structural frame remains visible, the traditional black border around the display has been completely eliminated. The device also sports a centered punch-hole cutout for its front-facing camera.
The concept phone is scheduled to make its physical debut at the IFA 2026 ShowStoppers media event in September, where the global public will get a close-up look. Although the device is currently in the concept phase with no announced plans for mass production, its release aims to push the limits of screen-to-body ratios and drive innovation in display and structural engineering.

For the past decade, ultra-narrow bezels have become a standard feature on flagship smartphones. However, the industry has consistently faced a common challenge: due to internal circuit layouts and safety structures, a 1-to-2-millimeter black border is typically retained between the active display area and the outer frame. While seemingly minor, this border has always visually separated the screen content from the device’s edge.
TECNO’s R&D team aims to completely eliminate this visual boundary, allowing the screen to extend truly to the edge of the device for a purer, more immersive viewing experience. Transsion Holdings, TECNO’s parent company, emphasized that achieving true bezelless design requires far more than simply narrowing the frame; it demands a comprehensive reconstruction of the device’s internal architecture.
Through advanced internal stacking designs, innovative structural engineering, and cutting-edge screen packaging technologies, TECNO’s new concept phone redefines the display system architecture. By successfully compressing the visible screen bezel to 0mm for the first time, the company has achieved a significant breakthrough in the field of global mobile terminal engineering.
