March 3, 2026 – At the ConnectAI theme forum on the opening day of MWC 2026, Fang Fei, President of the Product Line at Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., engaged in an open and candid conversation with her partner from Orange Group. The discussion centered around AI terminals, connectivity, and ecosystems.
Fang Fei holds the view that the ultimate significance of AI doesn’t lie in replacing humans. Instead, it should focus on serving, accompanying, and empowering people. She pointed out that a growing number of more diverse and vertical demand scenarios are emerging, spanning from mobile phones to home appliances, education, audio devices, and even pet toys. This indicates that the era of a “Cambrian explosion” for AI hardware has arrived.
She also emphasized that no single company can build the future of AI on its own. The future AI experience will definitely not be confined to closed “walled gardens.” It must be built on an open and collaborative ecosystem. At present, Honor is working closely with global partners like Orange to explore and develop new hardware categories.
