Several well-informed sources have revealed that Meizu’s mobile phone business has essentially come to a halt and is set to officially delist in March 2026. A person close to Meizu disclosed that since April last year, the company has been unable to settle payments with many of its suppliers on time. Up to now, a large amount of these outstanding debts have turned into bad debts. “It’s highly likely that Meizu will file for bankruptcy,” the source said.
It is understood that Meizu’s FlymeAuto in-vehicle infotainment system business will operate independently. Meanwhile, the Meizu brand might continue to exist within the Geely ecosystem.
Currently, the Feishu group chat of Xingji Meizu still has over 1,000 members. However, a significant number of employees have submitted their resignations, and a small number have been transferred to Zeekr, a brand under the Geely umbrella.
