November 29, 2025 – According to Business Insider, Google CEO Sundar Pichai believes that vibe coding is opening up new avenues for non – technical workers, much like how blogging once provided a career entry point for ordinary writers and YouTube enabled many to turn content creation into a full – fledged business.
In a Google Developers podcast, Pichai stated that vibe coding makes the process of creating applications and websites more enjoyable. People without any coding background can now try their hand at building prototypes at any time. Technology is becoming more accessible, more fun, and will continue to evolve, reigniting people’s excitement.
From the human resources sector to the accounting industry, an increasing number of non – technical professionals are starting to use tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Replit to create their own applications. Pichai pointed out that vibe coding allows users to directly turn their ideas into models, rather than just describing them. “In the past, we could only explain things with words. Now, we can first make a rough prototype and then show it.”
This approach is even starting to transform the internal processes of tech companies. Product managers at Meta have used vibe coding to create prototypes and present them to Mark Zuckerberg. Pichai also revealed that the number of Google employees making their first – ever code changes has increased significantly.
However, with the rapid spread of vibe coding, handing coding tasks over to AI also comes with risks. As reported, Pichai emphasized that large – scale critical systems must still be handled by professional engineers because safety and accuracy cannot be overlooked. Developers generally agree that vibe coding is currently suitable for low – risk experiments rather than core software.
Pichai is confident that as technology continues to advance, vibe coding will become even more powerful and will become an integral part of the tech industry. He said that what we are seeing now is still in the very early stages, which he described as “amazing but also the worst in terms of its potential not being fully realized yet.” He can’t wait to see what more developers around the world will create based on vibe coding.
