August 21, 2025 – Yesterday, Tesla China officially unveiled its brand – new Model Y L model, with deliveries anticipated to commence in September 2025.
Meanwhile, when responding to a netizen’s query today, Elon Musk stated that the production of Tesla’s 6 – seater Model Y L in the United States won’t start until at least the end of 2026 at the earliest.
He further added that, due to considerations related to Full Self – Driving (FSD) technology, there’s a possibility that this 6 – seater model project might never be launched in the US market. However, Musk didn’t elaborate on how exactly FSD would impact the rollout of this six – seat vehicle.
