July 3, 2025 – Omdia analyst Linda Lin has recently made a forecast that Apple is set to launch its first MacBook Pro models equipped with OLED screens next year. These new models are anticipated to offer several advantages, including higher brightness, deeper black contrast, and extended battery life.
In her latest market investment research report, Linda Lin reiterated her belief that Apple will introduce the first MacBook models featuring OLED screens in the coming year. Although the report did not specify the exact models, industry insiders widely expect the OLED technology to debut on high-end MacBook Pro variants first, before gradually making its way to more entry-level MacBook Air models.
The transition from Mini LED to OLED display technology in MacBook Pro is expected to bring about a significant improvement in user experience. Users can look forward to enhanced brightness, richer black levels, better power efficiency, and longer-lasting battery performance.
Next year, the MacBook Pro is also predicted to undergo its first major design overhaul since 2021. Rumors suggest that the changes will include the adoption of OLED screens and a slimmer profile.
