Tesla Plunges to Record – Breaking 13.5% Year – on – Year Drop in Q2 2025 Global Car Deliveries

July 3, 2025 – Tesla has just made a major announcement regarding its performance in the second quarter of 2025. The company revealed that it produced a total of 410,244 vehicles during this period, marking a significant increase from the 362,000 units manufactured in the first quarter.

In terms of deliveries, Tesla shipped 384,122 cars in the second quarter. However, this figure represents a 13.5% decline compared to the same quarter last year and also fell short of analysts’ expectations, which were set at 387,000 units. This drop marks the largest year – on – year sales decline in the company’s history.

Breaking down the delivery numbers, the Model 3 and Model Y accounted for the vast majority, with 373,728 units delivered. The remaining 10,394 units came from other models in Tesla’s lineup.

In addition to its automotive operations, Tesla also made progress in the energy storage sector. The company deployed 9.6 GWh of energy storage products in the second quarter of 2025, further expanding its presence in the renewable energy market.
